Kilcoy Pastoral Company Limited (KPC) is currently sourcing an experienced Tier 2/3 Help Desk Officer to join our growing ICT team in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment. This is a full-time position, working a lifestyle roster, (5days on and 5days off) on a block rotational 12 hour shift working days and nights.

The ideal candidates will have;

  • Current Qualifications in ICT.
  • Sound communication skills both written and oral with good listening and comprehension.
  • The ability to explain complex issues simply to a mixed audience with varying levels of technical understanding of ICT systems.
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Self-motivation and excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads in a high volume environment.
  • An ability to resolve issues in an efficient, effectively and timely manner, maintaining a customer service focus.
  • Proven ability to successfully troubleshoot and problem solve issues relating to both software and hardware in a real-time environment.
  • The ability to work on both urgent unplanned problem resolution and engage in proactive ICT development and maintenance activities.
  • An ability to maintain reliable record keeping.
  • Proven ability to exercise discretion and to maintain confidentiality.

Advantageous Skills and Capabilities would include:

  • Experience with a Service desk Ticketing System would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a similar production supporting role would be advantageous.
  • Experience with any of the following: Windows Server 2008/2012, data capture systems, SQL, Virtualisation Infrastructure, experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Experience with process improvement and documentation of workflows and ICT systems.
  • An understanding of ITIL principles and methodology.
  • Previous exposure or experience in a production industry.

The role will be responsible for providing predominantly tier 2/3 technical support, with flexibility to perform at tier 1 as required, to deliver to the needs of this rapidly paced working environment.
